Public IP vs. Private IP: Differences, Security, and How to Find Them

To understand how the internet works, imagine your home is an office building. The building has a single postal address (that's your public IP), but inside, each desk has an internal extension number (that's the private IP). Understanding this difference is key to your security and to using our tool at IP address.

1. What is a Public IP?

It is the identifier assigned to you by your internet service provider (ISP). It is unique worldwide and is the 'face' of your connection to the outside.

2. What is a Private IP?

It is the address your router assigns to each device (mobile, PC, console) within your local network. It is invisible from the internet.

3. How to find your Private IP
